FAQs
What services do you offer?
1
I provide personalized garden and yard design plans with a focus on New Mexico native plants. For homeowners who want to be involved in the process, I also offer hands-on installation support: a semi-DIY option where we work together to plant trees, shrubs, garden beds, and install simple drip irrigation systems. You get a clear plan and practical help, without hiring a full landscape crew.
How do I get started?
2
Start with a quick phone call to discuss your ideas and goals. From there, we’ll schedule an on-site consultation to walk your space, clarify your vision, and determine the best next steps.
I work directly with homeowners who want a thoughtful, manageable approach to improving their yard. Rather than bringing in a large contractor crew, I offer design guidance and hands-on support tailored to your pace and comfort level. It’s a collaborative experience: clear, calm, and customized to you.

What makes you different?
Design consults start at $100 and include an on-site visit, personalized recommendations, and clear next steps tailored to your space.
Full garden plans and hands-on installation support are priced based on scope and scale. Most projects are small to mid-sized, and I’ll provide a clear estimate after our initial conversation so you know exactly what to expect before committing to anything.

What is the cost?
Do I need to hire a landscape contractor?
5
This depends on the scope of the project and the technicality. I work directly with homeowners who want to be involved in their yard improvements. Many of my projects are small-scale and manageable with a clear plan and hands-on support. If your project requires heavy construction or major hardscaping, I’m happy to talk through options and help you determine the best path forward.
Can I do the installation myself?
6
Yes. Many clients enjoy being part of the process. I can create a detailed plan for you to follow on your own, or we can work side-by-side for planting and installation so you feel confident every step of the way.
What types of projects are a good fit?
7
I’m best suited for homeowners who want to add or refresh garden beds, incorporate native plants, improve pollinator habitat, or create small, meaningful landscape updates. If you’re planning a full-scale yard overhaul, I’m happy to help with the design and overall plan, while the larger installation work may be better handled by a landscape contractor crew.
Planting native plants is the best way to restore the health of our soil and create healthy ecosystems. These plants are ideal for our climate, well-adapted, and thrive on low water and can tolerate drought conditions. There is so much beauty and resilience in these plants.
I also embrace the seasonality of our native plants. One of my favorites is the cotton seed-like heads of chamisa that appear in the winter and create a magical landscape. A yard can be beautiful at any time of the year, regardless of the season.
